Introduction:
The Faculty of Business Administration Department of Nugaal University was established in 2004. The faculty provides degree program leading to a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA).
The BBA Department also offers a variety of service courses for Summer time as supplementary courses, including a number of programming language courses as an introductory leadership management course, small business fund and marketing course. These programs are constantly being updated in order to reflect current research in the field, to satisfy curriculum recommendations by the NU and to remain up to date with changes in community and environment.
All programs emphasize a combination of theory and practice. The curriculum enables students to gain the knowledge and background needed to further their professional and academic growth and to develop skills which will allow them to contribute meaningfully as professional leadership management and Community professionals. A degree in business administration opens a wide variety of doors for those wishing to pursue a career in many business sectors. Retail, hospitality, IT, manufacturing, education, non- profit, and others all need people with strong business acumen. This degree provides you with a variety of tools and knowledge that are valuable to any business. You will learn the basic business models and when it is best to apply each based on the type of business and other factors. You will learn how to analyze possible scenarios and then communicate how each of those scenarios could impact the business. The ability to analyze numerical data is also an important part of a business administration course study. the total number of students currently pursuing BBA in 2017/2018 academic year is 102 students.
Programme Objective
The four years BBA programme is tailored made to serve the needs of the bright young persons who have completed twelve years of education and are looking for a career education in entrepreneurship, management profession or towards higher education in business administration. This programme is open to the students with diverse educational backgrounds including, humanities, science, arts and commerce. However, being a programme with challenging curricula and contents, it is accessible mainly to those students who have excellent academic record and high potential for success. Accordingly, candidates for this programme are carefully sifted and screened through a selective admission test process.
The four years BBA degree promises the graduates higher level employability at the entry level of management profession through helping them fulfill potential for high earnings and greater personal development. The programme curricula offer to the students a rich blend of general education like English language, mathematics, Islamic studies economics; general management skills like oral and written communication, decision-making, leadership, teamwork, quantitative method; discipline based core courses including finance & banking, marketing, and HRM etc. and the specialization based elective courses. The programme builds in the student’s potential for future and enables them to build and maintain balance between the targets of economic success and the limitations of increasing social and environmental responsibility.

Eligibility Criteria
Persons who are employed or hope to be employed in various fields of business as Marketing Executive Account executive, Human Resource Manager, Sales person, Bankers among many others. Persons with the following abilities are most likely to be successful in pursuing a career in business. Verbal comprehension – The ability to understand and express information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Particularly in English Ability to synthesize information, eligible persons must have at least successfully completed their O level education/ Secondary/ its equivalent. A person must have attained an overall grade of C and at least grade C in five subjects including Mathematics and English. A person with a diploma in a related field any other qualification which may be considered by the admitting authority
