Hassan Hersi Farah
Hassan Hersi Farah is a highly experienced professional with over 26 years of expertise in environmental science, agriculture, and natural resources management. He holds triple master’s degrees in environmental science, Agribusiness Value Chain Management, and Global Studies and International Relations. Currently, Hassan serves as a lecturer at Nugaal University, where he teaches courses in agricultural marketing, environmental science, and natural resources management.
His extensive career includes roles in public sector organizations such as the Ministry of Environment and Rural Development in Somaliland, where he served as a regional coordinator and director of wildlife. Hassan has also worked with international NGOs, including PENHA and Save the Children, on projects related to resource-based conflict resolution, fodder value chain development, and environmental management. Fluent in English, Somali, and Arabic, Hassan is a dedicated researcher, trainer, and consultant with a strong commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment.
