Anisa A. Mohamoud
Anisa Abdillahi Mohamoud is the esteemed Secretary of Nugaal University, a position she has held for the past eight and half years. She completed her bachelor's studies at the University of Aden in Yemen, where she graduated from the Faculty of Education and Arts with a major in English Language.
Currently, Anisa is pursuing her master’s degree in Agribusiness and Value Chain Management at Nugaal University as part of the SHED program, which is funded by the RUFOURM initiative. During her role as the Secretary of Nugaal University, Anisa also worked for six years as a Project Coordinator under the title of “Hiil Hooyo,” a Mother and Child Health Care project that served 30 Maternal and Child Health (MCH) centers in the Sool Region. Nugaal University was the implementing partner for this project, along with Aayatiin Development Foundation.
The project’s impact was significant, encompassing the following aspects, in-service trainings for MCH staff, equipment procurement and renovation of MCH facilities, disability workshops and trainings, awareness raising campaigns and an online course.
Through this project, Anisa and her team of some of Nugaal University esteemed lecturers in the faculty of distributed 137 pieces of equipment, trained 115 MCH staff, and provided advanced Moodle training on mother and child health care to 41 online students.
